Curriculum Vitae

I have been a practicing Forensic Anthropologist since 2006, when I joined the Faculty of the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office and Crime Laboratory in Houston. I am a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Anthropology and a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology OSAC Forensic Anthropology Subcommittee, a group that writes the national standards for practice and research in Forensic Anthropology. I arrived at the Life Sciences Department of TAMU-CC as the Forensics Program Coordinator and it is rewarding (and fun) for me to teach our TAMU-CC students about the real work conducted by forensic anthropologists, medical examiners, medicolegal death investigators, and the variety of fields found within crime laboratories. I welcome new graduate students to work with me on a variety of forensic anthropological research topics, which include my favorite research area, new approaches to identification for unknown deceased medical examiner cases using anthropological methods.
