I graduated from TAMU-CC in 2014 with a marine biology M.S. My thesis studied movement patterns and population trends in coastal shark species. After completing my degree, I moved into this position as support staff for our labs. I support biology teaching labs by training teach assistants, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment used by in lab and in the field, especially our introductory biology lab course. I work with faculty to maintain an updated, meaningful introductory biology lab curriculum that provides a foundational knowledge for the rest of a student's academic career while also being responsive to the needs of the modern student. I am the faculty/staff sponsor for the Sea Turtle Club and am the unofficial critter relocator on campus. I have a small zoo of wayward creatures at home that occasionally make it to campus for a meet and greet with students.
