The mission of Pixel Island is to conduct research in computer graphics and visualization, to be a source of expertise in these areas for the campus, and to educate students in these areas. Pixel Island currently has two major focus areas: face-to-face human computer interaction and visualizing scientific data.

Pixel Island is always ready to welcome new members. If you would to like to join in the efforts there is more information here. If you do not not know much about graphics, that is okay, part of our mission is to train those interested. The lab was established in part by an MII grant from NSF and we have lots of fun equipment to play with.
