1. Have the students cut a sheet of paper into the seven tangram pieces (see link below). Have students reassemble their square.

2. Perimeter: using the side of the square tangram as one linear unit, measure the perimeter of the other tangram pieces.

3. Area: using the square tangram as one square unit, measure the area of the other tangram pieces.

4. Fractions: If the whole tangram square in ONE, find the fraction part of each of the tangram pieces.
