MATH 5310
Discrete Mathematics

An introduction to topics in discrete mathematics with an emphasis on connections to middle school mathematics. Main topics will include combinatories, iteration/recursion, graphs/tree, logic and proof.

This course is intended as a leveling course for middle school mathematics teachers in teh Teacher Quality grant program and does not count toward any degree program.

The textbook is Navigating through Discrete Mathematics in Grades 6-12, NCTM, 2008.
