> Instrumentation Coordinator
Perform maintenance and repairs on scientific laboratory equipment in the Life Sciences and Physical & Environmental Sciences departments including the core molecular facility, train personnel to use chemistry and molecular core instrumentation, coordinate the use of the molecular core facility, maintain records and calls to tech support as needed, develop procedural manuals, supervise student workers, and perform other duties as assigned. |

Coordinate and oversee all accounting related activities for the College of Science & Technology faculty on all grant and contract accounts including the TEES accounts. Monitor, reconcile, and provide financial reports, evaluate, investigate, analyze, and process any discrepancies and recommend resolutions related to faculty accounts. Provide appropriate training and guidance to faculty. Review travel and petty cash reimbursement documents, assist with budgets and prepare Department Budget Requests (budget and pool transfers) for accounts, perform bi-weekly payroll functions, provide as backup to Business Manager, and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain confidentiality. |

Supervise students and manage lab research and other educational activities, actively participate in the research program on evolution and conservation, generate sequence data for fish species, conduct and interpret phylogenetic, phylogeographic and haplotype analyses, train students in current methods, assist in grant proposal development and writing, oversee research specimen records and maintenance, oversee periodic packaging and shipment of specimens, assist in development of GIS database of African fish records, collaborate on publications of research results, keep track of lab inventory and oversee purchasing, and other duties as assigned. |
