Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Science

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for the following tenure-track Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Science position to begin in Fall 2012.

The applicant’s research focus should be in the broad field of atmospheric sciences including tropical meteorology, air-sea interactions, climate change and impacts of climate change on the coastal and marine environment, and other research areas that advance our Ph.D. program in Coastal and Marine System Science. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in environmental science, participation in developing a B.S. program in atmospheric science, as well as teaching graduate courses in the candidate’s area of specialization for the M.S. program in Environmental Science and the Ph.D. program in Coastal and Marine System Science. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an externally funded research program supporting graduate students in the established Environmental Science M.S. and the Coastal and Marine System Science Ph.D. programs. Requirements include a Ph.D. at the time of appointment in Atmospheric Science or a closely related field. Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
