Community Awareness
One goal of the CCSEP is to promote the awareness and importance of aquatic and related ecosystems. One way this goal is obtained is through participation at various community events. Activities can range from a "wetland obstacle course" to species identification, to the semi-portable 40 x 40 Walk Through the Wetlands experience. All festival activities provide individuals with various levels of aquatic education that encourages all to participate. Another way to communicate to the public is through seminars to teach wetland awareness and conservation. Lecture and field trips highlight these seminars, followed by more advanced seminars.
