Advanced/Special Topics Seminars


 

Advanced/Special Topics Seminars are provided to give special emphasis on a particular topic or location. Trained AAWP/CCSEP staff provide participants with extensive information on an array of topics including:

 

Padre Island Ecology - An overnight camping trip to Padre Island National Seashore. Topics of discussion include dune ecology and dynamics, beach ecology, geological and human history of Padre Island.

Texas Coastal Ecology - One day and weekend trips covering the Texas coastal regions. Discussions include Texas coastal ecology, coast history, coastal geology, comparisons of upper, mid and lower coasts.

Texas Seagrass Ecology - Hands-on learning of the seagrass community, identification of species the economic importance of seagrass beds.

Texas Coastal History - Learn how the rich history of the Texas coast has shaped the current ecological and economic status it has today. Travel to historical sites and learn how history took place.

Call to schedule a trip for your group. A minimal fee may be charged to cover trip costs.
