Software Packages

his page describes the software setup for computers in the computer laboratories.
  • The UNIX servers are clst.tamucc.edu, and penguin.tamucc.edu, a Dell PowerEdge 2950 computer running Red Hat 6.8. These have most standard Linux packages available, including:

If you have a software package that you would like installed in one of the environments, and the department or University already has licenses for the software package, please contact itadm.csci@tamucc.edu to arrange to have the packages installed. After classes have started, allow at least two weeks from the time of the request to when the software may be available.
